Postbridge
is the first layout of the
Plymouth and Devonport to Exeter Railway.  Postbridge is a hamlet so only a few  locals, tourists, and soldiers use the halt -  most troops would have moved by truck. The local industry is a Ministry of Defence ordnance depot supporting the firing ranges and exercise areas on Dartmoor. The depot receive ammunition & general stores by van and fuel in tank wagons. The sidings are maintained by the army using a Land Rover MkII with rail wheels - a non powered Golden Valley Hobbies model.
