The North Downs Model
Railway Circle held its latest exhibition in the Church Hall on 1st
September. This was another successful show which was attended by
about 150 visitors, slightly more than previously. The majority of the layouts were set up on Thursday, with Friday used for the remaining set up and checking, to ensure that the models were running smoothly and all electrical connections were good. Immediately after the show it took about 2 1/4 hours to dismantle everything and box it ready for transport. As ever many thanks go to Stuart Robinson for masterminding the event, for preparation of most of the layouts and transporting them to and from storage, to Jean Tattum for coordinating the catering team, which kept exhibitors and visitors fed and watered, and all the helpers and operators who helped the event to run smoothly. The proceeds of £933 from the event have been passed to the Organ appeal. If you aspire to become an engine driver (operator), or can offer any other assistance, please contact Stuart on stuart.robinson27@outlook.com The 2019 shows will be held on Saturdays 16th March and 31st August |
