Wollershausen is a station on an imaginary cross country line from Ölmühle to Nordhausen.
When the 'Iron Curtain' fell the line was lifted between Rhumspring and Hotensleben
converting the
cross country line to East and West German branch lines.
The Deutsche Bundesbahn (West German) branch from Ölmühle to Rhumspring
survived in part because on the Ellerite traffic at Wollershausen.
Ausleben
is the Deutsche Reichsbahn (West German) opposite number of
Wollershausen.
