The Sud-Pfälzerwald-Bahn is an imaginary kriesbahn (local railway) running 20Km
from Neustadt (Weinstr) Hbf (main station)
to Albersweiler (Pfalz). The line is in the western Rhine Valley,
parallels the eastern edge of the Pfälzerwald, and serving the
villages and hamlets at the valley mouths. Sankt Martin is a minor station on
the line.
The layout is set in the 1950s using steam stock, the early 1960s with the
change over from steam to diesel and the late 1960s
and early 1970s with diesel operation.

A Kof hauling a passenger train

The Kof is a small diesel shunter

I've seen photos of Kof's hauling passenger trains. I wasn't able to clarify if
such a train was an emergency replacement for a
railbus, a special possibly a school train, or something else!

A V36 mixed traffic diesel bring in a goods train.

The first move is to remove out bound wagons

The outbound wagons and a wagon for further down the line are left on the loop

The in bound wagons are moved to the siding

In bounded wagons are careful spotted (parked) to meet customer needs. A van by
the goods shed, a van to pick up planking
and a clap wagon to deliver line to the Landwirtschaftliche
Genossenschaft Südliche Weinstraße (Agricultural Cooperative
of the South Wine Road). South Wine Road is the name of the Kries
(district) in which
Sankt Martin resides.

The goods prepares to leave and is off (below)

Planks justify long wheel based vans

The photo below shows large locos can handle tight curves even if looking silly
while doing so!
