TIERNSEE BAHN
Tiernsee Station
This totally imaginary 750-mm narrow gauge Tiernsee Bahn runs through rolling terrain to Tiernsee [Lake Tiern] passing the roadside station of Seespitz. Traffic is largely passenger but the railway handles general freight and timber. In the peek summer weekends steam trains move tourists to and from the lake. At other times services are largely provided by a railcar built in the railways own shops. Steam locos work mixed trains [combined passenger and goods] and the occasional goods trains.
