The Gorse Line
00, Heritage railway, 8 @ .5 foot
Video
The layout is inspired by the
Lavender Line in the
days of Dave and Gwen Milham but is set on the Halkyn Plateau in North Wales.
I
have assumed one of the several proposed lines to the limestone quarries of the
Plateau was built and on its closure the preservationists took over.
They have
reused the engine shed and wagon repair shed is now
the carriage shed.
Platforms, an old coach as a
shop and cafe, and a
picnic area have been added.
