ANGLE CORNER

00, British Rail Network Southeast

The layout has been inspired by several British Rail, Network South East branches. Historically it was a twin track cross country line that has been cut back to Angle Corner. The down line has become the passenger line with a frequent diesel railcar service by at present a Class 121 'Bubble Car'. Goods trains run on the erstwhile up line with a class 08 'Gronk' operating a 'run as required' goods service bringing vans to Hawes Beer, Wine and Spirit importers. There is a loop and a siding serving a warehouse where van loads are stored and sorted before dispatch the other siding is used for direct transfer to truck. The long term plan is to extend the layout to the junction were the lines will merge and a short branch leave the 'mainline'.
