A local Passenger train on
the Wadbury Vale Railway

The photos follow a local passenger train on its run down the layout. After coming on scene it passes the briquetting plant and the brickworks at Hawkwell and the halt is revealed - it is largely hidden by the brickwork. Leaving Hawkwell the local passes the works of the Compressed Coal Company on the outskirts of Shakemantle. Shakemantle is a small passing station but its goods siding with end & side loading docks, cattle pen and goods shed can deal with most goods.  Next is the coal yard at Shakemantle where coal is unloaded by three coal merchants. The local then passes a Great Western 14XX and push-pull coach waiting at the loop at Tedbury Quarry before passing under Elm Lane Bridge and going off scene.
